Checking your blood pressure at home

How to get a reading you can trust, and what the numbers mean.

How to get a reading you can trust, and what the numbers mean.

What our pharmacists recommend

Start with the simple things: rest, water and the right product for the symptom you actually have. Read the leaflet before you take anything new, and check it does not mix with medicines you already take.

  • Keep a note of when symptoms started.
  • Use the dose on the pack, not more.
  • Ask us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or buying for a child.
If you are unsure, ask before you buy. That is what we are here for.

When to see a doctor

If symptoms last more than a few days, get worse, or come with a high fever that does not go down, call your doctor. In an emergency, call 112.
